RELAX

Ein sich ständig wandelnder Klangraum. Verwandlungen von Menschenstimmen in Tierstimmen...
...Zufallsakzente Nichts ist tonlos - eine Doppelbotschaft: Was wäre denn das Nichts, der Moment, in dem wir nichts hören? Die Schwelle zum point of no return? Eine kurze Zeit des noch nicht und nicht mehr? Jeder point of no return leitet eine Metamorphose ein, ist mit Entspannung verbunden, die aber, wie bei Ovid zu lesen, zu weiteren Spannungen führen kann. In RELAX tauchen einige Texte aus den Metamorphosen auf. Ovid beschreibt Schönes, Tragisches, Blödes und Surreales mit der gleichen liebevollen Akribie. Ebenso gleichberechtigt werden alle Klänge in RELAX behandelt, egal ob der Gitarrist mit einem schottischen Moorhuhn zusammenspielt, die Flötistin mit einem Kühlschrank im Duett musiziert oder die Mundartistin musikalisch auf zuschnappende Mausefallen reagiert.
Tonproduktionen sind immer Entspannungsvorgänge. Entspannungen werden von uns unterschiedlich bewertet. In der Natur nennen wir sie Katastrophen.

RELAX
A soundscape that is constantly changing. Transformations of human voices into animal calls…
… accidental stresses, nothing is soundless – an ambiguous message: what would this nothing, the moment where we hear nothing, be? The barrier to the point of no return? A short time between not-yet and not-anymore? Every point of no return leads to a metamorphosis, is joined with relaxation, which however leads to more strains, as Ovid has written. A few texts from the Metamorphoses appear in RELAX. Ovid describes beautiful, tragic, stupid and surreal things all with the same loving meticulousness. The sounds in RELAX are all treated just as equal, no matter if it’s a guitarist playing together with a Scottish grouse, a flutist playing a duet with a refrigerator or an oral performer reacting musically to mousetraps snapping shut.
Music productions are always procedures of relaxing. We rate relaxations in different ways. In nature, we call them catastrophes.
By the way, refrigerators are metamorphosis-decelerators. RELAX: An evening of relaxations.
